 Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems was founded in 1978 by Myron Mueller to
provide superior security services to the Rancho Santa Fe area and surrounding
communities. Over the years, there have been many changes in the security
industry. Some changes have been positive, such as the vast improvement in
security technology. While other industry changes have not been as positive,
such as the lack of customer service resulting from the multiple mergers and
acquisitions by enormous consortiums interested more in the financial bottom
line than providing true peace of mind.
At Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems we have maintained a focus on providing
superior customer service for our clients. Since 1978 we have added many
valuable services for our customers. Our services include our own local
monitoring, 24 hour service department, armed alarm response, long-range
radio-frequency back-up monitoring, guard and patrol services.
In 1992, Myron Mueller’s daughter, Denise Mueller, and husband, Ron Boever,
both of whom had been active in the business for many years, took the helm.
While maintaining the same customer service focus as her father, Denise and Ron
have continued the success of Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems.
In 1996 Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems purchased its own building in the
Encinitas area which allowed for a completely upgraded and state-of-the-art
central monitoring station. As a result of its successful growth, in 1997
Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems split off its patrol, guard and armed alarm
response division into its own entity, Rancho Santa Fe Protective Services.
In 2000 Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems expanded with the addition of
California Advanced Protective Services’ (CAPS) account base. This strategic
acquisition allowed Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems to become one of the
largest security providers in North San Diego County.
Still family owned and operated, Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems and Rancho
Santa Fe Protective Services continues its commitment to provide clients with
superior quality in product and customer service.
Since 1978, our focus has remained the same - “Total Security, Without
Compromise.”
